Stress is essential for survival however too much stress can be detrimental as most of us are aware. Emotional stress that stays around for weeks or more can have detrimental side effects on our health such as weakening the immune system, potentially increasing blood pressure, causing fatigue, depression, anxiety and the list goes on. What do you do to de stress? Lots of people do not consider taking ten minutes out to sit quietly or walk to clear their head. It can take the pressure off and help relax you too.
